Creating Space(s) - what we contribute & receive in co-creation
Within the realm of organizational growth, transformation, and leadership, we hold a sacred responsibility to shape spaces that empower individuals to embrace their true selves, unique perspectives, and innate talents. In our pursuit of this noble endeavor, let us pause and reflect on the profound impact we have as co-creators of these transformative environments.
It is essential to recognize that the spaces we build are not solitary endeavors. Every person who enters our sphere, whether directly or indirectly, contributes to the tapestry of shared experiences and collective growth. Just as we invest our energy into these spaces, we also receive the abundant rewards they offer. It is a delicate dance of giving and receiving, where balance and reciprocity hold the key to sustainable growth.
Lately, we wanted to create more awareness and understanding around our roles in co-creating the brafe.space and have been asking ourselves the following questions:
1: What am I currently contributing to this space?
2: What am I currently taking from this space?
3: What would I wish to contribute/ to receive more?
It’s been a beautiful and precious reflection round with such an honest, insightful sharing of where we would see ourselves contributing more, the things we seek from the space but have not found yet, or of times we are receiving something we haven’t at all expected.
You might find these questions useful for your own organizations, or other communities you are finding yourselves in. We want to begin offering them more often to see how they are received outside our small and growing brafe.space community.
Closing this, we might want to remember that the spaces we create extend beyond the boundaries of our organizations - around the kitchen tables with our families, the moments we provide a shoulder to lean on for our friends, the day we argue with our partners about what's important to us in life, the way we interact with the cashier at tonight's groceries shopping - actually always, every day. Let’s do it a little more intentionally.
Happy space creation, everyone!
