brafe.space enables funding in Tebalou, the online shop for children's books and toys that promote a positive approach to diversity and variety

About Tebalou

Tebalou is a promising e-commerce start-up founded in Berlin in 2019 by Olaolu Fajembola and Tebogo Nimindé-Dundadengar, whose social relevance is currently greater than ever. The company pursues the vision of an inclusive and diverse society and offers both individual customers and educational institutions a large selection of toys and books that reflect a wide range of diversity criteria. These range from skin colour and religious affiliation to physical abilities and family forms. Tebalou will use the €200,000 investment to expand its business, improve product development and drive customer acquisition. The investment via brafe.space will not only provide the necessary capital, but also access to a network of experts and strategic advice.

The funding was realized by a group of people within the brafe.space community:  Rolf Schrömgens, Dr Joana Breidenbach, Wilfried Gillrath, Petra Becker, Susanna Krüger, Lisa Jaspers, Lilian Breidenbach, Bettina Rollow, Max Öhl, Finja Kütz, Friedrich Sefranek and Joana Hauff.

ABOUT BRAFE.SPACE

brafe.space is a community of investors and entrepreneurs (for-profit and non-profit) founded in 2021. brafe.space brings together potential funders and founders who share a set of core values. The core idea is the combination of inner development and the provision of funding for innovation, be it related to a new business model or a social improvement.

brafe.space offers an intelligent framework for funding based on standard contracts as well as reflection and exchange formats in which new human relationships between founders and funders are focussed on as an essential element for mutual success.

The vision of brafe.space is to develop an ecosystem that enables the financing of innovation and at the same time incorporates the growing complexity of the world. brafe.space creates a framework that allows people to show themselves in all their facets and not just in roles, thus enabling inner development in terms of reflecting on their relationship to themselves, dealing with the multitude of existing perspectives and their own relationship to privilege, marginalisation and discrimination. At the same time, brafe.space promotes the provision of capital for the realisation of innovations in this context.
